A homebrew application. Is ChoiDujourNX a PC app or a homebrew app on the switch?
It works with any CFW that supports homebrew. That's cool, does it work with all CFW like Atmosphere/Kosmos? I am trying to find some info on it but the official website just has the downloads.
The only way I can think of is to perform a local game update where the second console is running both the firmware you wish to update to as well as a game on a higher version than the first console.
The Switch cartridge slot is updated on specific firmware versions which are 4.0 and 9.0. And no, you shouldn't get banned as long the dump is clean.Sorry, I didn't understand. Is the game card updated when is in a Switch that updates the game via official channels?
So I checked the fuse count, is 8. Searching a bit I found out that is equivalent of FW 6.2. So if I restore the nand (that I think is on FW 4.~) and mantained offline, then update it by a game card to a firmware after 6.2 and go online, I wouldn't get banned?
Do you know i there is some way to know if my cartridge slot was updated? Because I think I tried to, I'm in 9.2.0 on sysnand and my game cards wasn't working and still aren't.The Switch cartridge slot is updated on specific firmware versions which are 4.0 and 9.0. If your cartridges are not working, then it sounds like you are booting with the nogc patch via CFW. To know if your slot was updated, you have to boot a firmware below 4.0 and below 9.0 to see if it works in either scenario. And only games that are on cartridges would update the firmware. They may not always bundle the required firmware with the cartridge.Do you know i there is some way to know if my cartridge slot was updated? Also, every game that requires that specific FW would update the console?
You can only go online after restoring a clean NAND backup. If you do not have one, you risk getting banned once you go online no matter what you do.Hi!
I have a question too...
I use an emunand with sxos, updated several times with Choi, no problem at all. Now I want to play online, so my plan is to take a new SD card, reset my system nand, update my switch to the latest firmware and play, but I heard about the fuse burn thing, so I'm unsure if this is the right way to do it... Of course I want to be able to use the emunand again after playing online, but is that a problem with burnd fuses? Or is there an option to upgrade my system nand within my emunand?
Thanks for the help
So if I restore my clean nand with burnt fuses and try to update it to the last version online it will probably get me banned, right? You can only go online after restoring a clean NAND backup. If you do not have one, you risk getting banned once you go online no matter what you do.
Maybe, maybe not. Remember that bans are random and not guaranteed. You certainly do risk getting banned but whether or not you will end up being banned is decided by Nintendo. So if I restore my clean nand with burnt fuses and try to update it to the last version online it will probably get me banned, right?
As long as your sysMMC is clean from never running any CFW or homebrew, you will be fine. Updating sysMMC will not affect emuMMC except for game cartridges as there were two updates for the cartridge slot, one in 4.0 and another in 9.0, that once applied make the slot unusable on firmware versions below the one that was installed.I thought my sysnand is uncompromised, because I only used emunand? However, I have the clean nand backup that I made while I first used the rcm jig.. I know that it's still possible to get banned, I just want to get my sysnand back online without breaking my emunand and of course the highest possibility of not getting banned. If my switch getting band I still have my original switch lite, and on that point my normal switch will be cfw only..
So I just update my emunand first, than update sysnand with a fresh SD and I'm good to go. Thanks for the helpAs long as your sysMMC is clean from never running any CFW or homebrew, you will be fine. The order doesn't particularly matter and you don't need a second card for sysMMC.So I just update my emunand first, than update sysnand with a fresh SD and I'm good to go. Thanks for the help
Unfortunately I'm running into an issue..The order doesn't particularly matter and you don't need a second card for sysMMC.
Only certain Switch consoles can be hacked namely the old ones, not the ones in the red boxes. You can check the serial number.
You can setup the console offline but you do not have to update to the latest firmware except for linking a Nintendo Account which is also not required for hacking.
