My language is English. Were they not for English? Does it make a difference that my Switch was purchased in Japan, even though it's set for English? And as I said, the ASM one seems to work. Nobody would complain unless they tried a full game with it activated. I had started using it a while before I got to that first chozo robot and it was nice... until I couldn't kill the robot...

Thanks! Really cool. Doesn't break omega cannon. Although it seems that both this AND the regular rapid fire code need to be activated at the same time. Now, I just need to find out where the working moon jump is (and take the stupid "L to hover" thing out). I swear I was using a working one from this thread, but since I've been trying out different codes from different people, I can't find it again.

Ok! So far, as long as I don't make the mistake of touching an EMMI, I'm breezing through the game. The rapid charge fire DESTROYS Kraid! There are some rooms, during some circumstances, where the previous pointer moon jump would stop working, but work again when changing rooms, or satisfying a condition.
For example: after grabbing the flash shift, when you go into the room with the 2 exploding things that you have to shoot to lower the water, it stops working. It works again after both things are exploded. I just died there... lol. I moon jumped into the space where the platform would normally lower down to, before it was even lowered... but it was already an OOB. Just like if you do the second pseudo shot skip and avoid draining the water into a certain spot, and go there during frozen Artaria (assuming you didn't camera lock and skip that portion entirely)... you will OOB if you jump there, because the game thinks you're inside of the ice that would have been there, if you hadn't skipped that part in the beginning.
I'm having so much fun with these cheats. I've conceded that I can't do better than 2:05:xx without cheating (in dread mode, anyway... I haven't played normal mode after A.S.S. was discovered).
But if finding these cheats is fun for you, and you like a challenge, than this challenge would completely destroy the game: Can you somehow re-create the state that you're in when you're shinesparking? Working on enemies would be cool too, but I would simply like to break through speed-booster blocks (so... either shinespark or speed boost would work) with a button press. This way, you can get grapple waaaayyyy early, and immediately get screw attack, since the ethereal code works on environmental damage. Is this possible before actually having speed booster? OR could ASM magic make those blocks break some other way?
well, i do know and watched a youtube video for save editing, so it is possible to save edit the speedbooster from the beginning. i also know that there was a "unlock all upgrades" asm code(its not mine, so i cant post it), problem was things like powerbomb/speedbooster/crossbomb are "shown" but not "activated". the closest thing i got to the speedbooster was removing or reassigning the button to activate it, but you still needed to have the speedbooster for it to work.
So, testing on the White EMMI, This code that someone asked to try out
does nothing. Do nothing, you die. Pressing X at the wrong time (too early), you die. Holding X before the EMMI touches you, you die. I messed up on the first pseudo skip while also trying other codes, and I think this actually worked on the broken EMMI. Does every EMMI need a different code, by chance?
My opinion on the modified moon jump:
... it certainly does work, but it makes the first 2 pseudo skips really damn hard to pull off. @crazy_p I think you should keep ZR as a necessary button for it. It was just the inclusion of the L for hover that messed with various things. If someone wants to hover, they can just keep tapping ZR anyway. 202 is the way to go, IMHO.
Also, the X+Y for rapid charge shot doesn't work for me. I activate the L+Y for rapid fire, AND I activate rapid charge shot at the same time, and I get rapid charge shots from simply pressing L+Y. Not that I'm complaining, as it's cool as hell that it works in the first place, and because it works... why not? If you're able to rapid fire charge shots, I can't think of a single reason why you'd rather have the choice between normal or charged. So I'm happy with it.

so i went to another emmi, this was green, the first time it failed, but after that, it worked, i think the first time it sets it up, then it works, i will look into it.
Well, I died repeatedly to the white EMMI simply by trying all of those scenarios. Are you meant to stand still, or are you meant to press anything? I would say that the white EMMI is the most important, because it's a time saver every time, if you counter it. All others are just random good or bad luck with RNG...
lol... tried that. Sent whomever posted the link (was it you? My short-term memory sucks when it comes to names) a PM about it.
