    Just put the boot.firm file on the root of your SD card. Or in layman's terms: copy it to your SD card, but don't put it in a folder. You don't have to open the file on your PC.

    I tend to buy my games, the sad part about Freeshop being gone, for me anyway, is out of region demos/ old demos that are no longer up for eshop download but are still on the servers.

    Yup, it's a real shame. I friggin' love competitive Mario Kart, but playing it online (with 3DS anyway) is just a recipe for frustration.
