    Wouldn't it be better to update and improve stability instead of adding new plugins and derivatives? I think that every time something new is added it breaks anything else, whether it's audio/video or whatever. That is just my opinion.

    Try changing the cluster size of your USB, the recommended is 32kb for Wii games. From experience I have had the same slowdown symptoms when having more than 32kb of cluster.
