Misc Possible to transfer games from Original Wii . . . .

Apparently the shop channel "requires" an update but If I try to get the update I get error code: 32007. Some youtube video shows disabling (or enabling) updates to occur with priiloder (or something similar named app), link to download app?

Misc Possible to transfer games from Original Wii . . . .

First and foremost, my original (and first Wii) - bought in late January 2007 was stolen in 2010. Bought a new Wii shortly after and homebrewed it to get get the Virtual Console games I had (on the first Wii) back . . . . Bought a Wii U in December, could I transfer the VC games from my second...

    Hacking Configurable USB Loader

REVELATION! It seems wiiflow will load games for me but not configurable. It's a start but I'd MUCH rather use config than wiiflow. Cept in Wiiflow only ONE Wii Game shows - Skyward Sword but my VC games show. Also seems like GX works as well. Why doesn't configurable? How the can I get...

Hacking Wii games (Hard drive) won't boot anymore

Far to **** strange . . . . Booting into Wii games via hard drive by use of configurable works for MONTHS if not a year or more. An update to the Homebrew Channel comes out (week ago) suddenly it stopped working. . .. . . . . . . Have installed that app to the SD card, ran it w/ deafult...

Hacking Wii games (Hard drive) won't boot anymore

About a week ago, days, months before the Homebrew channel updated to 1.1 I was fully able to play (nearly) any Wii game I had on a external western digital 1 TB (some partitoned to WBFS). Since said update of HBC I have been able to get into the loader (in my case I use configurable), I could...

    Hacking Configurable USB Loader

A long as time ago to 4.3 - the system couldn't get an internet connection for some reason, updated it suddenly could but it could still play games from a hard drive or Emulated games (SNES, GB(C|A)) from a SDHC card. Now since the HBC updated the system can't boot any games from a hard drive...

    Hacking Configurable USB Loader

Yes I am beyond damn sure that all that was updated was the Homebrew channel and now I can't use this loader and I presume any loader to play games from a hard drive.

Hardware Can a normal PS3 Slim model play PS1 games?

PS1 - ALL PS3 models can play discs & downloads PS2 - ONLY 20, 60 GB models have (near?) full compability. 40 & 80 gigs have some. Slim models (regardless of hard drive) CAN NOT PLAY PS2 DISCS. I shouldn't have to explain what models can play PS3 games.

    Hacking Configurable USB Loader

Has ANYONE gotten this loader (or others) to actually LOAD a Wii ISO (any wii game) since the 1.1.0 homebrew channel update? I used to be able to plug in the hard drive into a seperate outlet, turn the wii on the the surge protector the drive was in, turn it on and be able to boot any Wii game...

    Hacking Configurable USB Loader

It may be program limitations, or could be system I don't know. A thought: Could the loader detect what version of the game we have (such as TP) and give us cheats that would only work for that edition we have?

Open the tx file of the game on the SD card from your computer and remove what you don't need.

    Hacking Configurable USB Loader

It just hangs when I try to load a game. I can navigate fine (I think).

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
    for people with beefy hands.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

    but that's a long shot
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i think only the red mario kart edition phat was v5

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
