Unless you have a Rain Man-like attention to detail when it comes to drawing on the DS in tiny boxes, I find people usually end up just playing as one of the template characters, completely ruining one of the games only selling points.
The fact that you have to unlock colors and patterns for...
I'm using the latest version of Retro's files and every time I go to load the second Prince of Persia game it loads just to the main screen's background and then goes all snow-like and static-y.
Is this a rom issue? I tried reformatting already.
It's easy to say there are only 12 games left in the DS's cycle that are worth playing by ignoring the niche games and games you might right off as shovelware that others might want to play.
It's not a big release by any means, but I'd like to be able to play the horrible House game if it gets...
Okay, this has been one of the dumbest flame wars I've ever seen.
The DSTT isn't dead and Retro isn't killing it. Yes, he has demanded that others work not be posted here and the mods have gone all Iron Curtain on it for some stupid reason, but it literally took me 30 seconds to google it...
You are ranting about being held hostage by a single programmer on the DSTT... then you recommend the AK2i?
Why don't you just get the files from that guys website and stop the drama here?
Part of the problem with TNA as a company is they change on a dime, roster-wise. This game was made and finished months ago but was delayed in the DS port, so we're lucky we got a roster that only has two people fired in it and not more.
I'm actually a fan of Curry Man, so I'm glad he's in...
I don't think it's ugly at all. Just more of an anime-inspired art style than the first game. The GUI is less cluttered and the close ups of the overworld means you are just walking through a dozen similar looking sprites that represent new castles.
So far the game itself seems a little easy...
Filename is v-puzzq2.nds
Warning: it's VeNom so it definitely has that stupid loading screen again.
So far no AP, but haven't gotten far. Testing on an AK2i running latest AKAIO
Yeah, I think what we're talking about here is the 2D, 2-on-2 or 4-on-4 fighting games a SNK or Neo Geo might make.
I would have loved to have had a DS version of MK vs DC or Marvel vs. Capcom 2, but I really do think the lack of a joystick/analogue stick is what's keeping them.
Draglade gets repetitive ultra fast. The Bleach games ARE pretty great but can be a bit easy with the touch screen spells and such. Even still, I agree that they are the closest we're going to get to an arcade fighting game on the DS.
DBZ fighting games were not good. And I haven't tried the...
Guys, I think the actual chance of them ever release a Street Fighter IV on the DS is slim to none at this point, so Windy X Windham is hardly going to taint the entire fighting genre pool forever.
Fighting game makers seem to be against making truly in-depth fighters on the DS for a reason...
Good 2D platformers:
Great Giana Sisters - a tribute/rip off of Super Mario Bros original flavor
Crash Jack Of All Trades - Actually has some pretty good 3D moments
Tak - 2D with 3D rendered graphics, actually plays a bit like a Tomba homage
Your mileage may vary with any of the Gryptonite...
alright guys i just started a blog where i make my essays (not my school essays unless i'd find them something i'd want to post here), and started by copy pasting my essay about the dictionary into a blog entry
