    Hacking Showmiiwads crashing

Sorry for replying to an old topic but found a solution. I had the same issue with multiple nands and found a bug in the code of the extractor. I am afraid this bug is in multiple programs. As there are 16 superblocks the program looks for the highest version. If the highest version is the last...

Hardware Differences of PAL motherboard and NTSC motherboard?

PAL and NTSC versions have the same hardware, the difference is the setting.txt file and the sysmenu file. The Korean wii has an extra key in its eeprom that is the only difference I think there is between regions

Hardware Motherboard shutdown 1 second after the LED turn Green.

at the underside of the board there are some testpoints for 3.3V 5V and 1.1V. Also look at the drive power cable to see if there are no shorts at the connector

    Hardware brick help

sounds like your bluetooth module went down. Try to switch on your wii with your wii mote and see if that works. If not then most likely get a new bluetooth module

    Hacking Betwiin v.10

boot1 is stored inside an eeprom in the cpu, boot2 is decrypted by boot1 and hash checked against the stored hash key in OTP memory. So no way bootmii will run on a boot1c or higher wii Hopefully a way will be found someday to use bootmii on newer wiis in boot2 but I doubt that

    Hacking Translating the System Menu

I downloaded sysmenu 3.3E using NUS download and used the decrypt option. If you then checkout file: 00000033.app with a hex editor you can see a lot of text in it in different languages. If I am not mistaken it is unicoded as all letters are preceeded by 00 This may be a starting point for a...

    Hardware SD Slot issues

The problem could be in the SDHC card. Is your kingston stuffed with over 2Gb of data on it? If so try to remove something on it so you go below the 2gb barrier and try again. I never use SDHC cards as I believe the 2gb should always work and the sdhc can cause issues ...

    Hacking Betwiin v.10

I read about that chipquik thingy too, however with only heat applied for a couple of seconds on the nand by my hot air station I don't think it will get any damage.

    Hacking Betwiin v.10

I agree with you however not everybody can remove the nand chips so easy without breaking the board. I have a hot air station and then it is a breeze. Others use a wire which they pull underneath the legs of the nand which I think is a risky thing to do. If you only need to flash one wii I...

    Hacking Betwiin v.10

Read back the data from the nand and compare it with what you flashed in it. I bet you have extra FFs at certain places

check if your drivebay led flashes at least once If it stays on either your data is not flashed correctly or your boot1 hash mismatches

Hacking How to unbrick you Wii 101

The only thing I can think of is that you cannot flash a samsung chip using the vias as I always solder the wires to the nand. However I am now not doing this anymore. Just take of the complete nand and flash them in a special setting without hollywood etc online Works much better and is even...

Hacking How to unbrick you Wii 101

I flashed many samsung nand chips with the nand still on the board without any problem. So I don't know why you keep telling you need to remove them. It is simply not true
