Just set this up (prepackaged archive), no issues yet. I'm using stock update 1.0.2 as I read 1.0.3 wasn't substantive - other than bumping required fw version. Thanks for doing what Aspyregrets.

Not all Wii games run full speed with perfect framerate on unmodified hardware. You'll want to rule out vanilla behavior by comparing your performance to that, before you try to troubleshoot your setup.

I was playing Donkey Kong Country yesterday, and man do I suck at Mine Cart Carnage now. Not the emulator's fault, I'm just old. Maybe I can blame the knockoff Gamecube controller, a little.

Well, it's not impossible. The rom file sizes are within the range of games that work on Wii in vm. Wiimpathy's vm implementation was open source. The creator of that project used Genplus GX on PC. Maybe you could put a bounty on it? It sounds...

You are correct that Neogeo and FBA have a virtual memory feature for larger roms in Wiimpathy's build https://gbatemp.net/threads/large-neogeo-games-support-and-cps3-tests.493767/ There is also a virtual memory feature in the N64 emulators...

I thought generative AI was further along than this.

First of all, go to stock Wii settings > sensor bar > sensitivity If you can't find a configuration you're happy with from that, the only other possibility I'm aware of is that people experimented with modified sensor bars - wider or narrower...

No, that's not what format Wii system memory does. It just deletes the things that Nintendo (knew about, unlike homebrew, and) considered personal data: miis, save games, things you would get rid of before someone else got that Wii. It gets rid...

Factory Reset on a Wii just deletes personal data - your miis and game saves and such. It's not likely to (properly) remove homebrew. As for how to remove Riiconnect24... I don't know. I did a quick search, and found little beyond deleting the...

If you're thinking of https://gbatemp.net/threads/the-system-files-are-corrupted-garbled-text.641286/ we never heard back from that poster what worked, if anything.

Short answer: try putting the game in the folder that should already exist: roms/MAME2003/coreE2. That might be enough for it to appear alongside the other mame arcade games and boot using coreE2. If that doesn't work, you'll have to understand...

In the abstract? Sure. But Wii development shouldn't be expected to follow a general rule like that. Most of these emulators are built on the same tool set, and often ported by single individuals, of varying skill. I'd expect it's way closer to...

There are no fewer than five different versions of snes9x on Wii. You mentioned rx and tx. Have you tried any of the retroarch implementations? I use RA-HEXAECO Next.

I suspect differential performance on a single platform is a game-specific issue. You didn't mention how you put the Wii games on the SD card. I use Wii Backup Manager (available via Modmii). You could try re'installing' the problematic games...

Okay, try to figure out what software is running Mario 64. The default emulator pause buttons for Not64 are X+Y on a Gamecube controller. A game not starting is almost certainly not due to save issues. If it's not starting at all, something else...
