Ok I'll have a look. I'm unsure about if a PAL restoration is even possible currently since some treasures use different models, so modifying the texture replacements wouldn't be enough. I'll still have a go.
You mentioned people in the pikmin community working on tools, where could I track...
v1.0.260 but I made a mistake, I had the files from the Wii version open, not the switch version, very silly of me.
I think I'll have a go at the PAL restoration in that case. Would it be possible for you to share some details on how you made the mod? Np if not, I'm happy to work things out myself.
I actually figured out how to open the szs files, I was going about it the wrong way. When I opened them directly in file explorer with switch toolbox it worked and I could see and edit the files. Don't know why navigating to them through toolbox didn't work but oh well.
Ah damn I was looking...
I'm trying to restore the original textures of treasures to the switch version of Pikmin 2. This is the first ROM hacking project I've ever done and I'm struggling a little.
The only tool I've found that allows me to preview, edit and replace textures for switch games is switch toolbox. I've...
I've never made a Rom hack before but I'm also interested in seeing this and I'm not doing much rn so I'll give it a go. Can anyone point me in the direction of tools to use/resources on how to make ROM hacks? I've read that Wexos Toolbox might be what I need but any assistance is appreciated.
I installed minish cap as a VC title, it ran fine with no crashes or freezes. I also ran the eMMC Status Checker and it passed, but I've attached the report txt file regardless.
Before you posted this reply I ran the CTRTransfer (Type D9) reflash script and there was a error midway through...
Tried playing in OFW, still no luck. I have GB, GBC, NES and SNES VC games, will they work as a test to see if the ARM CPU/SoC is faulty? What can I do to test the other two potential issues?
No luck there, Twilight menu freezes after a short time and when it does keep goin long enough to try and load one of the roms it still results in a white screen.
I'm going to try another CTRTransfer Type D9 to see if anything comes of it but I'm close to just giving up on ever playing nds...
I followed up NVRAMtool with TWLfix and a system update which let me play some nds games again and open nds connection setting, but I still have the problem of the games I listed before getting stuck on a white screen and other games freezing during play.
I read on another one of your posts...
Ok, I moved 3DS_NVRAMtool.3dsx into the 3DS_NVRAMtool folder, and when i ran it there was no error. But when I try to play a 3DS game the screen is still black.
I copied the contents of the sd card off, formatted it, checked it with h2testw.exe, copied the data back on and tried again, and it worked! Big relief.
I continued with the process of fixing my n3DS but I'm struggling with the very last step. I've used the reset NVRAM image option in the...
The fourth one
"Cannot display the software on the microSD card. The microSD card could not be accessed"
I can still access the SD card when I plug it into my computer and when I boot gm9.
I've just tested all three cameras and they all work with no crashes or freezes. I'll try using download play to continue with the guide. And it is a n3DSXL if that makes any difference.
EDIT: Should the 3DS be giving me the warning that the SD card can't be read when I boot it up?
I may try the new ram site, and download more RAM to my Switch. Not sure if ddr3 is the right ram
for it tho. Edit- no it uses floppy Ram, just like @AncientBoi
