    could be the reader, i considered that originally but the regular sd card from my 2ds worked fine with it, it didnt get re-partitioned after i fixed it though. and the ds was reading from the 200mb partition instead of the bigger one which led to space issues when i was doing something with gm9

    doesnt make any sense to me either, both the sd card that was always in my 3ds that was never removed or modified previously and the new one i put in did the same thing ヽ(ー_ー )ノ i already tested them and nothing was wrong so who knows what was going on lol ty for replying! ill give it a try...

    ahh that might be part of the issue. before i realized my partition/space issue i updated my ds as 3ds.hack.guide suggested, completely forgot i had done that lol. guess its back to the drawing board to try the method for the newest update @_@

    it must be something with my pc thats partitioning the microsd, but it didnt do the same with the sd card from my 2ds, which i dont think is original although i could be wrong, i dont remember if those came with them or not. my dad knows more about this kind of thing than i do but its 2am over...
