I got it working after setting the IOS used from 58 to 251, after finding a post in which someone recommended using IOS 249. That didn't work for me (my drive wasn't detected), but someone else said that using any of the modified IOS (249-251) will work. And with IOS 251 USB Loader GX can see my...
And here is another problem: I can't install games from a disk. The installer will crash and while the animations of USB Loader GX will continue to run in the background I can't shutdown my console. The only way to do that is to pull the power cord...
Yeah, I think that's the version I used. Coping the files from the rar didn't change anything, I still can't play the games (but I'm pretty sure it has to do with the drive)...
Edit: After fixing this issue too I have a new issue... I've hidden the vWii drive with UStealth (so the Wii U doesn't...
I have probably never felt so stupid in my entire life. Wii games were unchecked for some reason, but now I can finally see them.
I can't launch them (even in WiiFlow since I've formatted my drive to WBFS) though, so I'll quickly reformat my drive to NTFS and try that again...
Edit: That didn't...
After a while I can finally report back now. I've swapped both HDDs for SSDs and most of the stuff works fine now. I can have both drives plugged in at the same time without having a lack of power. The Wii U games work fine and so do the vWii games. However USB Loader GX still doesn't detect any...
@Cyan @godreborn Yesterday I finaly upgraded my PC with a 3.5" HDD replacing a 2.5" HDD. I decided to use the old HDD as drive for the vWii. I formatted the drive as NTFS, put my games on it and pluged it into my Wii U. USB Loader GX still doesn't show any games (despite it recognizing the HDD...
I just tried a few things. One of them is unplugging the Wii U HDD when in the vWii menu. That one lead to the stick being found in USB port 0 and not only in port 1. However when I plugged the Wii U drive in the front ports (since I read on another thread that the vWii has no access to them)...
Can you plug the Wii U drive into the front of the Wii U? The vWii has no access to those USB ports, so you should be save.
Edit: Oh, and @Cyan probably has the most knowledge about stuff like that in this forum.
I didn't want to try the Wii USB so far, since I still need it in the Wii and don't want to take any risk at corrupting it. But if you say it's safe I could use it to try if I can get USB Loader GX to run on my Wii U with a USB stick at all.
Okay, that will most likely take a while to test out...
Well, after some more research I get the feeling that that is a bigger problem than I thought...
Since my Wii drive (which works fine on my Wii) is WBFS, while my vWii drive (which has issues on the vWii) is NTFS that could be the problem. I'm testing that right now.
I don't have dual port...
@Cyan I've read multiple times that you're the guy to help people out with problems like this (anyone else reading this can, of course, help too; any help is appreciated):
So basically after I set everything up I installed a few backups of some of my games I made on my family's Wii a while ago...
