ROM Hack Gyakuten Saiban 1-3 Translation

Hi there. Well, that was meant to be a surprise, but now that the cat is out of the bag, we can no longer hide or deny it. A lot of effort has been put behind the scenes into bringing 3 lines back into the English GBA port of GS1. We closely worked with MCBoy and PhoenixBound...

ROM Hack Gyakuten Saiban 1-3 Translation

While we are using Discord for private discussions, there is no Discord server. It would be beyond the scope of this project to also maintain one. As I said, some time ago:

I just checked the DS version and it's "New Game" indeed. So we'll change it :)

It didn't even cross my mind. Does the second word have to be capitalized? It's not an error to be "fixed", but it can be changed, yes. Question is, should it?

ROM Hack Gyakuten Saiban 1-3 Translation

Indeed, nobody has translated GS2 on the GBA yet. However, the same could have been said for GS1 and GS3 a few years ago. As for updates... Well, we're still working on case 4 in GS1, but I can't provide any estimations as to when it will be complete.

Thank you! We are doing this as a hobby, so we don't want to get any donations for it. But thanks, it's the sentiment that counts! :)

GS3 is complete, GS1 is still being worked on (3 out of 4 cases have been translated).

That's definitely a big task to uptake, but I could guide you through it. Check your PMs for further details. We fixed that in Patch 006. Please make sure you have downloaded patch 006: Patch 006 Also, please make sure you are patching the correct Japanese ROM, by checking its CRC32...

We fixed that in Patch 006. Please make sure you have downloaded patch 006: Patch 006 Also, please make sure you are patching the correct Japanese ROM, by checking its CRC32 checksum. The Japanese version that this patch works for has a CRC32 of 0D9F9697.

ROM Hack Gyakuten Saiban 1-3 Translation

Well, the original project of the first post was dropped a long time ago, as stated in the first post. I only picked it up in 2014 - a long time after it had been abandoned - with the initial intention to just complete GS3, which was completed and fully playable in 2017. Not too bad for a...

A GBA version can play in almost every platform there is, at a decent speed. Even in platforms other versions can't play at all. So there's still some value to that. After all, this project started long before the HD remaster... It would be a shame for it to remain incomplete after all this effort.

Yes, all future updates will be posted here as usual. We can't give any guarantees as to when the next patch will be released, but we're really close!

Case 3, that will included in the next release, and case 4, which will be included at a later one.

ROM Hack Gyakuten Saiban 1-3 Translation

The next release will include the translation of case 3. Since it's still work-in-progress, we'll provide a full list of the changes done along with the release. The general goal of this project is to backport the english translation from the DS back to the GBA version. So what you can expect...

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
