    Found a replacement 82 uf 400 v for the C1 cap. C1 apparently was the culprit on my system. After replacing C1 and testing the standby led came on immediately. I also replaced C3 & C20 just to be sure. Works fine now!

    I visited a repairshop and he is certain it's the C1 capacitor (82 uf 400 v). Can't find a replacement though.

    Thank you. I checked and double checked everything. Psu is giving exactly 12v, capacitors give a reading that is exactly correct, fuse is working (multimeter beeps). Capacitors look really clean and no bulging, and the whole psu board is clean and no signs of something burned or broken. It...

    Yes you're right, I believe the whole outer metal plating of the mainboard is ground but just to be sure.

    I have a LG and this menu can be accessed by rapidly pressing the green button. My previous Philips TV showed it in the input selection and my Sony before that at a specific info menu. Don't know about all brands but it should be possible to read out such information.

    I'm pretty new to this so sorry if all of this wont help but it says "usb8", shouldnt it be "USB0"? What type of external drive have you connected? Make sure its in the usb port closest to the edge of the wii and perhaps check the directories in usb loader to where it will download the covers etc..
