    Did the N64 really have sprites at all? I think everything is done with polygons and billboards. Even Mame is just a calculated image rendered on a flat plane facing towards your tv screen.

    Did you enable 16:9 in video options? Seems to work like stretch to fit, plus correct aspect ratio vor most bitmaps, so that spheres are perfectly round.

    Maybe he is refering to true 720p on TVs with no overscan and 1:1 pixel mapping because many flat TVs do make overscan when the source is plugged in via YUV cable. And of course, as YUV being analog, HDMI output is superior. It is definitely noticable.

    Xbox1 had too many dashboards with different features. Only time will tell which one will prevail. I like to have the choice but I can kinda understand what you mean.
