Trying to figure out how to perform a system format without losing all my installed cia game data.
No ZL/ZR buttons to be found, it's 100% an old unit. I booted up Sun just to be sure, and it works perfectly fine, yet every time I try to boot up Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon, it just sends me right back to the home screen. Now I'm just wondering if there might be some sort of issue with the cias...- Jay_Utopia

How to change system default language using LumaLocaleSwitcher
The guide says I won't be able to use Pokemon Bank after region-changing; is there a work around at all to this issue? I vaguely remember seeing something about this exact problem not necessarily applying to old 3DS systems, and I'm fairly certain the one I've got is one of those.- Jay_Utopia

Quite honestly, I'm not entirely sure, but given that my home menu language is still Japanese, I suppose that must mean it's not region-changed. Sorry for the confusion (Though now this opens a whole new can of worms, as I guess I'll have to figure out HOW to perform a legit region change...)...- Jay_Utopia

Trying to figure out how to perform a system format without losing all my installed cia game data.
Couldn't complete step 4 (due to the "CTRTransfer Image .bin" just not existing), and did everything else to a tee, and was ultimately unsuccessful. I have made checkpoint backups and move them to my laptop, but avoiding the hassle I'm sure would come with redownloading literally everything...- Jay_Utopia

I've got a 3DS region-changed from Japan to USA. All of my games are already in English, but the console itself, and any text is has (such as system text and the title cards for games) is still in Japanese, and thus, navigating through any sort of settings can be a nightmare. I wouldn’t mind just redownloading the cia games, but I don’t want to lose the hours upon hours of progress I’ve already accumulated on them. Would I lose all my progress if I do the format or are you saying I could recover my save data after?- Jay_Utopia
