    Thanks Masprague. Hermes 224 v5.1(ios57) works . Waninkokos still doesn't work for games but I guess it's not a problem. It does bug me that I don't know why cfg keeps freezing when using 249. I guess I'll burn that bridge when I get to it.

    ...It's my name too haha. Yea hermes is generally installed to 222, 223, and/or 224. Not all versions work for different games. If you are familiar with wad managers, try looking up stuff about Wanin and Hermes cIOS.

    Some people including me have problems using waninkoko's IOSs. I also get "stuck" at the loading. I use hermes v4 (ios 38 merged with 37) for most of my games including Donkey Kong Country Returns using CFG. BTW I like your name .

    I'm not sure how GX works since I used CFG usb loader, but I once changed the partition that contained all my games and CFG wouldn't read it at first. I had to change my config.txt file to point to the new partition.

    Well I wanted to mod my wii so this gave me a good excuse. I bought a Wiisper fan replacement and a case replacement. I used this site for how to open the wii. Since I was installing a new case, replacing the fan was easy.
