    This might be a dumb idea, but I've gotten curious about injecting a ROM into J Legends Retsuden or a Virtual Console title.

    So, I've been recently dicking around with homebrew, modding tools and all that. Well, I found out that the Old series 3DS can handle most SNES and NES games pretty well (with a few exceptions), but I got curious if it's possible to swap the ROM of a VC title or something similar to J Legends...

I'm trying to inject MOTHER (Famicom) into the official 3ds VC emulator, and it sometimes works, but I want the VC menu in Japanese while trying to patch the run button in.     Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    @BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

    You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
