Hacking Official [Source Release] ReiNand CFW

FIRM partition write protection: Luma3DS prevents the system from writing to the FIRM partitions. This allows you to perform a System Update safely without boot9strap being removed. it's not about the kernel; the Rei-Six cfw basically runs on FW11.8 - 11.9 perfectly. With the Nintendo system...

Hacking Official [Source Release] ReiNand CFW

also had GM9 Bootloader (Salt) installed in Firm0 / 1. But after the 3ds system update 11.9 the original Nintendo Firm0 was restored. GM9 / Rei-Six were not started anymore. It would be good to know if there would be a good combination GM9 bootloader / Rei-Six protection that will not be...

Hacking Official [Source Release] ReiNand CFW

Rei-Six I found so far as the better alternative, unfortunately, I had to determine with the update 11.9 that Rei-Six probably no firm0 protection. So you have to reinstall B9S. Is it possible to install a firm0 protection at Rei-Six?

    Homebrew Update 11.9 and Homebrew

I have two confirmed cases where update 11.9 has been removed from the BS9 and replaced with the original Firm0. The 3DS was then started normally without cfw. With NTRboot B9S had to be reinstalled so that B9S or Godmode9 can be set as a bootloader. Can that also be confirmed?

Delete all unwanted software under 3DS System Settings Data Management. Afterwards I recommend you to use the homebrew "TikSweep", which deletes all "illegal" tickets; so that the official Nintendo eShop should work properly again...

    Homebrew Update 11.8 and Homebrew

use the guide (3ds.hacks.guide) and use the custom firmware "Luma3DS" This is beginner friendly and runs on the original firmware 11.8. The custom firmware "CakesFW" is more advanced and needs a "native_firm" so that it can be started. This custom firmware is therefore not recommended for...

    Homebrew Update 11.8 and Homebrew

you can follow the 3ds.hacks.guide regularly, install CakesFW instead of Luma3DS. As mentioned above, you need the latest native firm 11.8 for CakesFW to work.

Hacking Help with Bricked/Messed up Ace3ds Plus

No, the .7z file is a compressed archive of 7-Zip. The archive "Ace3DS_Plus_Backup_ntrboot_flasher [767F89B8] .7z" contains the following files: - ntrboot_flasher (beta) .firm - ntrboot.log - backup.bin The Ace3DS Plus card can be restored with the backup "backup.bin" and the "ntrboot_flasher...

Hacking Help with Bricked/Messed up Ace3ds Plus

The flasher will probably not work because your flashcard is not recognized. It may sound more like a contact problem.

    Homebrew Update 11.8 and Homebrew

Unfortunately not for your flashcard. You need one of the following flashcards which also support OFW 11.8: https://3ds.hacks.guide/ntrboot.html
