Thrilled to hear that it’s still going.
I look forward to being surprised by a release, and then dusting off my modded Vita for it. At which point I’ll do replays of the Sky Evo games too.
Well, if NISA and/or Geofront has asked them to stop, at least we can play portably on the Steam and Switch versions, and maybe someone will do a music patch for the Evo orchestration.
Zero and Azure Evolution don't have original soundtrack DLC. But the official localizations will be of the Kai versions, which will only have the original soundtrack. (Maybe some fans will do a patch of the re-orchestrated Evo soundtracks for the Steam/GOG/Epic releases.)
It's a shame that...
I'd say Evo is the best way to play it, which is why I'm waiting on these patches for my next replays. (Originally played the PSP versions.)
Be interesting to see which assets are picked for the NISA localizations, tho it'll probably just be the PS4 and Switch Kai versions.
Honestly it felt way better than the pre-Geofront translation of Zero, so it's totally playable. But Geofront (quirks and all) spoils us.
That being said, have been following this closely because I was (and am) so excited by the prospect of getting Geofront translation patches for the Evo...
It isn’t ideal, but you can play the PSP version of Azure on your modded Vita right now. (Install Adrenaline, etc.) That’s how I played and finished Azure a couple of years ago.
But Azure Evo seems to me the best way to play it, so let’s hope and believe that our team here keeps it going!
I’ll just hope I can find the 1.01 Geofront Azure patch somewhere, as that had the fix for the Zero PSP saves. (On the 1.0 patch it hangs.) It’s now down, for obvious reasons.
Not a big deal, as I’ll probably want to play the PS4 versions through to get the platinums. (Maybe even the Steam...
I think that was the original reason the team pulled itself together, if you look at the previous thread — they wanted to do an Ao (Azure) patch and used updating the Zero patch as their learning run while they waited for the Geofront release?
But whatever they do, the rest of us will happily...
Hooray, was finally able to do the (Vita-exclusive) bake-off quest and get the cappuccino recipe. You guys rock.
Other untranslated/incomplete bits that are no doubt on your radar already, but just mentioning for the sake of completeness: gambling in the casino, and console/Detective Notebook...
Wow, you guys are quick. Amazing work, as ever.
To the poster who accidentally bought Ao and not Zero, with any luck (fingers crossed), there'll be an Ao patch someday too! (Need the precious, precious trophies for these games.)
Have been doing a completionist playthrough at Normal, and aside from the textbox overruns (which you guys are probably working on manually), the only thing I've found through the final day of Chapter One is this:
During the initial fight with the Testaments/Saber Vipers in the prologue, there...
Oh wow, there it is.
Plainly still a work in progress, judging from the text box overruns and whatnot, but it's all there. The Geofront script! The Vita-exclusive content! (And with all the decrypted files sitting on my gaming laptop's hard drive, a sub-ten minute upgrade.)
I may try the new ram site, and download more RAM to my Switch. Not sure if ddr3 is the right ram
for it tho. Edit- no it uses floppy Ram, just like @AncientBoi
