    Hacking Firmware status

Are you blind? Or did it take you 20 minutes to write one sentence? BTW @SciresM gave me every reason to doubt him. He made it seem like he didn't have a 3.02 console for testing exploits, and he didn't give any clarification on 3.01-3.02 until I called him out. I should've done that from...

    Hacking Firmware status

I knew it. @SciresM never tested TZhax on 3.01-3.02. He only tested it on 3.0 and then jumped the gun by saying it worked on all 3.x firmwares. The fact that 3.01-3.02 are receiving content later than 3.0 despite supposedly having the same level of access is proof of that. It also explains...

Gaming why are each xenoblade game a different canon?

Because Monolith Soft does not have the resources nor talent to build a world that's interesting and has its own identity. The environments in XC1, XCX, and XC2 were impressive, but take a look at the creatures inhabiting them. Half of the monsters are replicas of real-world species (dinosaurs...

Hacking TrustZoneHax on 3.x and below

Still no answer from SciresM on whether it works up to 3.02 My guess is that he only tested this on 3.0 and jumped the gun by saying it works on 3.x. He didn't have 3.01-3.02 consoles when he was testing kernelhax, and that was only 5 days ago

Hacking TrustZoneHax on 3.x and below

SciresM says it works on 3.x, but a previous tweet makes it seem like he doesn't have a 3.02 Switch to test exploits on https://twitter.com/SciresM/status/952252300801683456 I asked him on twitter, but no response yet

Hacking fail0verflow releases coldboot exploit proof of concept

Hacking fail0verflow releases coldboot exploit proof of concept

Highly unlikely that they will release anything soon An example of how they operate from the PS4 scene: - PS4 OFW 4.06 was released on November 2016 - 4.06 patched an exploit that fail0verflow had in their possession - fail0verflow waited until October 2017 (11 months) to publish a write-up...

Hacking PS4 Kernel Exploit Released for 4.05 OFW

    Homebrew SafeA9LHInstaller

I keep getting this message when trying to do a "Full Install" of A9LH "Error: firm1.bin is invalid or corrupted" How do I fix this issue? Edit: Turned out the A9LH version I was using (2.6.5) was broken. I used a previous version (2.6.4) and it installed without any problems. v2.6.6 did...

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
