New static recompiler tool N64Recomp aims to seamlessly modernize N64 games

One thing I love about these recompilation projects is that not only does it give you the freedom to run the game as best as possible on PC, but it also gives people the opportunity to port the games to whatever platforms they want. It was incredible to be able to play Ocarina of Time on Wii U...

Is it possible to break through the DIAG port on a BREW device ?

As I said in my other post: https://gbatemp.net/threads/im-trying-to-figure-out-a-more-practical-and-easy-way-to-unlock-jailbreak-zeebo-consoles.653809/#post-10406085 Zeebo was a Brazilian console launched by TecToy, it was not a success and was only released in Brazil, China, India and Mexico...

Hacking Hardware Homebrew Others Project I'm trying to figure out a more practical and easy way to unlock/jailbreak Zeebo consoles.

I tried to contact some developers, so they informed me that the 61u.key generation was related to the console's IMEI and not the console's Serial. I can't confirm this, but this information matches what I received before that some developers and people who maintained the console had a program...

Is it possible to break through the DIAG port on a BREW device ?

A while ago I posted that I was trying to figure out a more efficient way to unlock/jailbreak the Zeebo console by trying to figure out how the 61u.key is generated: https://gbatemp.net/threads/im-trying-to-figure-out-a-more-practical-and-easy-way-to-unlock-jailbreak-zeebo-consoles.653809/ But...

Hacking Hardware Homebrew Others Project I'm trying to figure out a more practical and easy way to unlock/jailbreak Zeebo consoles.

First of all, for those who don't know what the Zeebo is, it is a Brazilian console released by TecToy, it is extremely rare and was only released in Brazil, Mexico, China and India, despite this it has some interesting games like a one of the best remakes of Double Dragon and one of the most...

Hacking Kirby's Dream Collection N64 compatibility list

This is fantastic, I remember at the time I always wondered if someone could do this to be able to play N64 games on the Wii using the Wii Remote or Nunchuck. I wonder if someone will ever be able to do this with the Game Cube emulator in Super Mario All Star.

Is it safe to migrate from MochaCFW/Haxchi to Tiramisu/Aroma?

Wait, I thought I needed to uninstall Haxchi (I use MochaCFW through Homebrew) Should I uninstall it or not?, or could this brick my console?

Homebrew NUSspli - Install content directly from the Nintendo Update Servers to your Wii U

I'm a little out of date (I still use Hacxi and I was afraid to use Tiramisu for fear of bricking my console) does this still work even after the end of the eShop and Nintendo Network?

Is it safe to migrate from MochaCFW/Haxchi to Tiramisu/Aroma?

So... I haven't used my Wii U for a long time, this last week I finally bought a new Wii U GamePad and was able to enjoy the last moments of the Online service. I found out about the new unlocking method but they told me that it could be bricked if I tried to migrate to it. How can I change...

Wii U and 3DS online services shutting down today, but Pretendo is here to save the day

It gave me a very strange feeling, I would come back from school, run home, turn on the Wii U and spend hours playing Online, I made friends who I still keep in touch with to this day. Splatoon in particular was the online console game I played the most in my life, even with Pretendo and...

How to turn on the Wii U GamePad without a battery.

My Wii U's battery had been having problems for a long time. First, it lasted very little. After a while, the gamepad practically didn't charge the battery, the controller only lasted a few seconds with the charger disconnected. And then, it stopped turning on even with the charger connected...

Emulation Zelda Twilight Princess HD Save Compilation

Thank you very much, this will be very useful. I was playing the Wii version but my Wii Remote broke, I was thinking about starting the Wii U HD version but I really didn't want to have to go back to the beginning.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
