    :-/ Pretty young and broke back in those days. I've played some games on it but I never really had one to own for myself due to those rough times. I've always been a handheld kind of guy anyway... consoles and PC are just extra.

    I predict back problems for Daniel if he continues to play like that. I'm still not really sold on next gen yet. I love my old PlayStation with Crash and Spyro still being the most enjoyable game series' I've played on it. I pretty much skipped PS2 and mainly use the PS3 for blu-ray... Maybe...

    For the most part, yes. If your device bricks or something of that sort... you're out of luck. In the end, it's your own preference. I personally use it because I'm not one to complain about such things and i like to get an early hang on things. Plus, I can afford to lose this device if anything...

    Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    @BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

    You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
