ROM Hack Pikmin 4 - graphic mod

Weird ask but is it possible to get 720p docked? 900p looks fuzzy on both 720p and 1080p output.

New repository for Kuwanger's Pogoshell mod5

I saw that, yeah. It's how I made the connection. I also went ahead and put both the obituary and guestbook on the wayback machine. I'll talk to Sterophonic about getting this on their repo Edit: It's added

New repository for Kuwanger's Pogoshell mod5

As far as anyone I know can tell, Kuwanger passed away in August of 2019. He was a really cool person and I wish I could have gotten to know him. He did a lot of work on GBA homebrew, especially in keeping Pogoshell alive after its developer no longer had the time to maintain it. Seeing as the...

Homebrew [RELEASE] Tiramisu Environment | Free CBHC

Pikmin 3 is getting stuck at the loading title screen. I tried removing 050_hbl_installer.rpx and 30_bloopair.rpx already.

Yeah, that's part of the default firmware, not the modifications done by Sterophonick.

Testing.... anddddddd............ IT WORKS! Time to commit a github change, methinks. auto Yes, that build seems to have resolved the "Generating Emulator" bug.

Using Windows, at least. Delete the devkitARM directory and replace it with the r47 build from 2017 (google is your friend). Run the build process again. The .bin file generated by the r47 build (attached) does not cause any lockup when loading pogoshell plugins. My guess is that some command...

Hacking New Theme for EZ-Flash Omega!

Confirmed! Reverted devkitARM to devkitARM_r47 and built 3.3 from source, issue is resolved. Built 3.4 from source, issue stays resolved. No idea how to fix it so that it runs okay with the devkitARM updates yet, though.

^ The "Generating Emulator..." issue is not present on this file. Edit: I'm beginning to suspect that this may be an issue with an updated devkitpro.

Hacking New Theme for EZ-Flash Omega!

I don't understand why the previous version works fine and is able to create files, while the most recent version cannot. Edit: Even MORE confusing, the 3.32 uploaded on page 16 of this thread works, but one built from source does not. Edit 2: 3.3, 3.31, 3.32, 3.33, 3.4 built from the code...

This is exactly what I see, too. Freshly reformatted SD card, latest version, it freezes whenever trying to do anything that requires a pogoshell plugin.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

  • Veho @ Veho:
    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
    for people with beefy hands.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    but that's a long shot
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i think only the red mario kart edition phat was v5
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
