They never stopped the Black Mesa team from moving Half Life from Gldsrc to Source 1. In fact they embraced it, and even let them sell the game. I'm not surprised Valve has revealed themselves to be another litigious bully, but I'm disappointed.
Physical media had already died when complete games can no longer run or fully install from them. If your gamedisk requires a download before the game will work, then it is nothing more than DRM.
What is all this I'm seeing that TX deployed ransomware on Switch? I recall that SXOS was a paid product and had DRM and brick code. Which is dirty coming from a modchip company, but not at deplorable as actual ransomware. Is there any truth to it? Was anyone actually a victim of this?
Sorry man, this just isn't true. Sony Interactive Entertainment is the largest game publisher in the world and if Microsoft acquires Blizzard/Activision, Sony remains the largest. It would merely put MS tied with Tencent for 2nd place.
