Homebrew [Release] Linux for the 3DS

Please delete the build from unistore and update from the new GitHub repo. We cannot control what's put on Unistore, and that build is broken.

Tutorial 3DS Screen Recording without a Capture Card (NTR CFW Method)

This runs really awful on my network, even with both devices right next to my router, which isn't a slouch by any means. Shame they didn't boost the New revision hardware to 802.11b/g/n...

Hacking New Exploit for the Wii - [SD Boot] announced.

Where do people even get HC/XC-less SD cards nowadays? The only ones I have on hand are from 2003 or so, which means they're more bad sectors than good ones, and even full-size 512MB SD cards are typically SDHC at minimum nowadays, or at least all the ones I can find are.

    Hardware Strange 3DS issue

I've just had the strangest issue: Upon exiting DS mode, I got GodMode9 instead of the normal Home Menu. I tried to start my normal boot.firm and GM9 crashed. When I went to turn it off and back on, I got the gray "why not Sleep Mode instead?" screen, and was able to hit Home to go back to the...

Hacking Put existing PS2 VMC on PS3?

oh, in that case i am gonna have to restack it, it's a 128MB VMC.

Hacking Put existing PS2 VMC on PS3?

Again, i'd prefer to not restack the entire card (as it's got some files outside of "regular" saves and it's bigger than 8MB) but i'll keep that in mind in case i'm unable to find a way to just import them.

Hacking Put existing PS2 VMC on PS3?

Yes, but i'd rather not restack the entire memory card if i can just copy it, with maybe one pass through a signing program or something.

Hacking Put existing PS2 VMC on PS3?

(There's no homebrew board for PS3 here...) I'm on Rebug 4.85.1, and i've got some VMCs I made of my PS1 and PS2 cards on my PS2 a little while ago. I can't redump my saves as individual files as my PS2 no longer works. Is there a way to add these VMCs to my PS3 or am I SOL?

Homebrew [Release] Linux for the 3DS

Pretty much. SD card support is half-implemented, and it's basically dead again. My builds are slightly more mature than Xerpi's, but not by much.

Homebrew HaxxStation: DS Download Station exploit

The firmware won't always boot from anywhere at any time. It needs a little more hardware access than userland (the privelege level games and such start with) most likely has access to. A few posts I also saw from you need correcting as well: The max ROM size is 4MB, yes... but that'd leave...

    Hardware 3DS-to-3DS carry-over

I figured as such, as there's unique keys and such and I dunno if those are overwritten by the restore process (or if it'd break anything if it did.)

@Sicklyboy, BTW is it better to go usb or bt for these mini Pcs figure you may know since you play with rack systems so much
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Counting my blessings that my insurance hasn't caused me really any headache (yet, at least) despite the fact that I've been getting way more appointments and what not recently due
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@K3Nv2, what do you mean, what are you trying to do?
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Just looking at a built in mouse pad keyboard combo
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I loose the dongle constantly but they may have better connection with usb frequency
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Imo Bluetooth is always a option of last resort for me
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Except for phones because it tends to be pretty reliable there
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I got a bad habit of taking out usb transmitter and loosing it because they can't you know print names on the damn things
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
But any desktop OS, I've never had anything but frustration trying to get Bluetooth devices to work reliably and stable. It might pair and connect once, and then next time I go to use it I have to delete and re-pair it again
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
5.3 has been so good I think 6 is really going to make it stable
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I remember how shit 3 was
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Ptouch labeler aren't terribly expensive, label shit yourself fam. This is the one I own and there are cheaper ones too https://www.amazon.com/Brother-P-Touch-PTH110BP-Portable-included/dp/B09QXYND6S
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Solves part of the problem, mixing up which dongle is which. Then you just have to not lose them lol
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
    Double D would be proud
    +1
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Even my Xbox One controller I have it paired to my desktop over Bluetooth, it USUALLY works but sometimes it refuses to connect and I have to delete and re-pair it. Maddening
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Gigabytes built in mobo bt/wifi pairs pretty decent
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
    That's what I'm using :(
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Ran a driver update in device manager?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Not recently but I think it's less a driver issue and more just Windows having a garbage Bluetooth stack
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Could be I was having issues when I first upgraded it and didn't realiser gigabyte has specific driver revisions which is stupid
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Which is married to the boards revision
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    Made my first review
  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
I've gone years without ever removing a logitech usb transmitter. Across several replacements of keyboards and mice. It just stays put.
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
    tldr usb > bluetooth imo
    +2
  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
ive never had luck with built in bt transmitters. They're always in the back of the pc and signal is super crummy vs a usb bt dongle in the front of the pc,
