Tutorial Extract and Decrypt games, NAND backups, and SD contents with ninfs

It's true, listen to Kwyjor. From that point, I used 3ds-save-tool to extract the actual files from the .sav file. It took a little Python-learning, though. Then, I imported them using JKSM. And bing, bang, boom—the saves are back! Edit: Linked the Github to 3ds-save-tool.

Thank you, for the most part. And for the record, I found the source of my confusion. I was in the wrong Title ID. I meant the Mii Plaza.

Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Look man, I've been looking everywhere just for the phrase "editSaveData.bin." No dice. I'm trying my best here. I'm surprised I was able to figure out enough to get as far as I've gotten. So, yet again, I ask you to please cut me a little slack.

I really am sorry to keep bugging you, but what do I do with the editSaveData.bin?

Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

We meet again! But I getcha. Thanks. I now have the 00000000 file from the 00020217 folder. But how do I use 3ds-save-tool? I knowledge of Python is very limited... Edit: I was able to extract "editSaveData.bin."

Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Looked around, but can't seem to find a concrete answer. So, here goes: I'm trying to take the Miis/Mii Plaza from my broken and unusable 3DS into my new one. I understand I need to get to the sysdata folder in my nand backup. So, I used ninfs, and I do have the ctrnand_full.img file, but I get...

Hacking How can I decrypt nand sysdata saves (Mii Maker, Mii Plaza, etc.)

How'd you end up doing it? I can't seem to understand Python well enough to do this...

Transfer Mii plaza data from one 3ds to another

Ah. My old 3DS is broken, so I can't use that to export. Oh well, thank you for the reply!

I could use some help here, too. Have you found a fix?

Tutorial Extract and Decrypt games, NAND backups, and SD contents with ninfs

Okay, I followed what that other guy did, PLUS I was able to re-extract the movable.bin (which I renamed movable.sed) to make sure I'm using the right one (I also backed up my new device's one, so I may have mixed them up). In any event, I now have "00000001.metadata," but I'm unsure what to do...

Tutorial Extract and Decrypt games, NAND backups, and SD contents with ninfs

I've been looking at a lot of threads about this, man. Cut me some slack. I try the "Save Data Extraction", but I keep getting "An error occurred while performing the operation."

Tutorial Extract and Decrypt games, NAND backups, and SD contents with ninfs

I apologize, I just thought that the threeSD program decrypted the .sav, then 3ds-save-tool extracted the proper files from the .sav. Then I thought I would use something like JKSM to put those files into my 3DS game. Plus, when I use ninfs to "Mount SD Card Content," I use my movable.sed and...

Tutorial Extract and Decrypt games, NAND backups, and SD contents with ninfs

If you don't mind, I, too, am having Save data troubles, and I can't figure out how to use 3ds-save-tool... I installed the latest Python and tried installing Cryptodome like it says to, but I have very little knowledge of coding and the like. Can you maybe lend me a hand again?

Tutorial Hacking Restore save data from dead 3DS/2DS

I completely forgot that I actually DID back up the Extdata for Persona Q (via Checkpoint) earlier this month... I'm saved. Thank you for reminding me of that wonderful app.

Tutorial Hacking Restore save data from dead 3DS/2DS

Yeah, I read it, but I'm just so confused. If I can make it out of this ordeal with my Persona Q maps intact, I'll be satisfied... I was able to get a movable.sed file, though it was already called movable.bin instead. I read something you mentioned in another thread though, about that...

I hate ordering stuff online if I can go buy it somewhere close to me, and everywhere anymore will give you a discount only if you order it online, bs. Should be a discount if I go pick it up, not order online.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I love it for most things most stores you just shows the receipt online and they scan it

Makes it easy for incompetent restaurant staff that don't know how to hear an order
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Mostly for big purchases, I want it in my hands before I pay. Like a tv, I trust picking it up myself, before I'd trust it being sent thru mail/delivery. (Broken screen, etc) But yea if I can order online, then pickup at store is ok, but not all places offer that.

Thing is, if you break it driving back to your house, it's your fault. But if the delivery driver damages it, it's not your fault.

Most people that haul big tvs have empty trucks or know enough not to set it face down
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Then I gotta send it back and wait another week or two. I have a pickup truck, with a extended cab, so no prob for me.
