Hacking [Newbie ask] How to jailbreak the Wii U to make it play free Wii games

Of course; I wasn't even trying to be adversarial. In fact, I think our opinions are rather closely aligned.

Hacking Will Wii U work without the disc drive attached?

Yeah, I have to say, I'm also not sure I understand what you're going for here. What are you hoping for as an end result even if this does work? Because all I can picture is a huge, Wii U-shaped external hard drive that can play downloaded games ;) I suppose you could be prepping for the...

Hacking [Newbie ask] How to jailbreak the Wii U to make it play free Wii games

Well, somebody backed them up, right? ;) But yes, I know what you mean. Personally, it doesn't matter to me what people call it. I just read it all as "WANT FREE PIRATE GAMEZ." Something about calling it "jailbreaking" definitely sits weird with me though. Not sure why.

    ROM Hack New Metroid Bros.

I'm with SKJmin on this. I'm no developer (I'm a writer by profession and, I suppose, by hobby), but I'd be pretty miffed if I came back from whatever kept me away only to find that my work had been re-purposed--especially since an extended absence might indicate that luckwii has encountered...

    ROM Hack New Metroid Bros.

I hope I didn't curse him by asking if he was dead back in September... Ah, well. Back to dreaming about how cool this hack would have been!

    ROM Hack New Metroid Bros.

Well, I'm glad to hear it, and not just because I'm looking forward to New Metroid Bros! I'm trying to post more, because I'm a huge lurker--visit the site almost daily but post maybe twice a year on average--so I haven't mentioned it, SKJmin, but NSMB3 kicks all the asses. And now, if I post...

    ROM Hack New Metroid Bros.

Ooh, the timer I set six months ago after luckwii's last post just went off. Hoping for an update! Or, really, I'm hoping that luckwii isn't dead. Super Mario Crossover is great. Another good one if you haven't seen it, though it doesn't feature any Metroid elements, is Mari0. Think...

Hacking Can i somehow make the vita have better quality in remote play?

Don't hate me if I'm wrong--I don't own a vita; I'm just going off of my PSP knowledge--but if you haven't done so, you probably want to set it up to connect directly to your PS3 if possible instead of having it communicate via your home Wi-Fi network. It should just be a rather obvious setting...

Hacking 3DS SD Card files analyse

Come on, now. There's no sense in being so sarcastic. Even simple things like this have the potential to uncover hidden gems that Nintendo overlooked.

Homebrew 3DS Developer Unit Software [30 Pictures]

Not all that concerned, myself. Just got the idea that he was striving for anonymity, and I like to bring a healthy dose of paranoia to the table.

Homebrew 3DS Developer Unit Software [30 Pictures]

Perhaps I'm just a paranoid guy, but if you're truly looking to stay anonymous, you might not want to post your friend code in your sig. Never can how Nintendo might try to trace things back to you... ;)

    ROM Hack New Metroid Bros.

Frequent lurker, seldom poster here. Just wanted to throw in my support and appreciation for your work on this. This looks awesome, and I hope development is going well!

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

    but that's a long shot

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
