Any way to tell if this is a 2010 or 2011 model just by looking at the box?

The A or B in the model number seems to indicate the HDD size. https://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/CECH-25xx

Any way to tell if this is a 2010 or 2011 model just by looking at the box?

The A in the model number is not part of the date code. Please look at the table here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/hackable-ps3-models-and-information.538514/

Any way to tell if this is a 2010 or 2011 model just by looking at the box?

I have an unopened CECH-2501A 160GB model PS3, but just looking at the box, I'm not sure how to tell if this model is from 2010 or 2011. I originally bought it ~10 years ago with the intent of hacking it, but if the PS3 is from 2011, I'd like to leave it unopened and sell it. The serial number...

Do you use an email client for desktop in 2021? if so, why?

I pay for business class email for my personal email. Originally, I was using IMAP, but I was recently forced to switch to Exchange. Either way, all of my emails stay on the server so I can just use the email portal on any desktop (or mobile device) and have an app for my phone.

Hardware Transferring PSN content to PS Vita with PS3 (and/or PC)

The PS3 method stopped working with the introduction of PS Vita firmware 3.65 due to the change in how licenses are generated. I was wondering if a fix for this change had ever been found or developed.

When using the PS3 method, there is no chance of getting banned.

Hardware Transferring PSN content to PS Vita with PS3 (and/or PC)

The method I was referring to required using Qcma (https://codestation.github.io/qcma) instead of the official Content Manager, but otherwise involved downloading and installing legally owned content (with real and official licenses). I have a PS3 which was purchased specifically for this...

Hardware Transferring PSN content to PS Vita with PS3 (and/or PC)

When the PS Vita firmware version 3.65 came out, the ability to transfer PSN content from a PS3 to a (hacked) PS Vita was broken (due to licence generation changes). Within the past few years, has this ability been restored (using a PS3 or PC)?

New ad network - centralize discussions here

$2 a month for ad-free is reasonable, but $5 a month seems a bit excessive.

Can I just pay $20 to get ads removed from my account?

I meant third party PSP batteries.

Hacking Worth making Pandora battery for brick protection on a PSP phat?

Third party batteries are almost always of very poor quality and are potentially rather dangerous. You might be better off buying two batteries, a high quality first party Sony battery and a third party, pre-made Pandora battery. Since the risk of bricks is very low, you will probably never even...

It's not the movies or games downloads that I would worry about, like breaking into networks, downloading encrypted things, spying on network traffic. I have seen so many "Top Secret" seals on files when I was a kid
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I was obsessed with finding UFOs, a surprising amount of US files where stashed on computers in other countries, China back in the early 90s omg sooo much
