Well, I ended up just replacing the file with another character's file. Accomplished the same goal, but I'm really curious just for the sake of being curious about why the file refused to be exported and edited. Strange.
What would cause 'Tile Import Options' to be faded and unable to be clicked on a sprite? Any ideas? Export option is available but import is faded and doesn't work.
Another question: I have the .dat files extracted, but I'm unsure how to go about editing the images inside of them. I know you're supposed to open it and that there will be a lot of text, but will I be able to edit the images personally or do I have to extract and reinject them into the code...

Need help hacking/modding a nintendo ds file on my pc. I'm looking for an app or way that will allow me to get into the game's files and edit a few of the images and animations. Newbie to modding here, so forgive my ignorance.

When I check the BGM flag, nothing happens. I mean, I got it to work once and give me a screen asking for the audio file, but every other time when I check it nothing happens. :( Could you maybe fix that or explain why it's happening to me?
