Unfortunately those give me "SCFG locked" I think this is due to me using a R4 GOLD PRO, which is a DS, not a 3DS cart. I read somewhere that only the DS version would run.- Skeeve

Thanks again Pk11, but I get the same result with those GBArunners. I can select the file, I can switch the cache but the screen goes blank when starting the game.- Skeeve

I still do not completely get it. Is the Switch afterwards in a state where it can run any homebrew without having the dongle available, so is the dongle a one-time-only device? Or is the switch, when the dongle and the jig(?) are removed, in the same state as before, i.e. unmodified? P.S...- Skeeve

I'm glad it's on the HDD. I don't know what was wrong when I asked here, but since it's saved on the HDD, where also the game lies, I can swap the HDD and need not change the SD too just because the correct .dvv is on another SD.- Skeeve

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.+1

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.+1

You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60
