Should I remove my SD card when I boot into sysMMC for legal play and connecting to bigN servers? Been trying to see some answers on other threads but I'm seeing mixed opinions.
unlinking an account in emuMMC doesn't affect anything on sysMMC right? The instructions in the post refers to linking/unlinking the console so I just wanted to make sure.
I've tried this multiple times and my usbfs list is still empty.
I should note that Windows didnt automatically re-install the driver so I manually reinstalled it by Device Manger > Tinfoil > update manually > .../windows_driver/tinfoil.ini (from github repo)

I'm currently struggling with the exact same issue w/ the same Tinfoil and Nut version. I tried a lot of solutions from other threads / forums but none worked for me.
Were you able to make it work? @Virdoo
ohh okay, i see. yeah I keep seeing emuMMC and sysMMC on a lot of threads referred to as similar but diff wordings so I've just been trying my best with assumptions.
So if I do online legit play on sysMMC and offline hacking on emuMMC, im gucci right? Totally safe?
I don't think I understand.
Is eMMC the same as emuNAND?
I'm going to run CFW/homebrew on emuNAND but I'm never going to connect to Nintendo servers on there. I'm only planning to connect to Nintendo servers on sysNAND.
I'm thinking of playing online from official cartridges on sysNAND and pirating + CFW on emuNAND (will also stay offline w/ emuNAND w/ 90NS + Incognito + airplane mode). I've been advised multiple times that this is perfectly fine as long as I keep these activities separated this way.
However...
I've restored my switch with a clean sysNAND backup (most likely clean sysNAND backup). It's currently on firmware 9.1.0 and I want to update to the latest firmware to connect to eShop.
Before I do so, I want to know the implications involved. I've researched online and haven't found any...
That's what I figured :/
What would be the differences and limitations between a switch with emunand removed this way VS an unpatched switch that's never been modded?
So I never thought this was possible until I came across a few threads earlier. I'm thinking of restoring sysnand, without the backup files, on a pre-modded switch. I want the system to be completely stock and clean afterwards. Just wanted to confirm how valid this method is as it doesn't clear...
I'm unable to as I haven't bought it. I don't have a transportable jig. My gut tells me that I should just trust the categorization on this mega thread and assume it's Potentially Patched
