Someone is going to have to explain to me what is different. The only issue I remember, is thatn a app could not load files from an external source, I had legit emulators from the apple app store in the past for C64 and I think zx spectrum about 15 years ago.
However, some (probably a lot) of the games require phoning home in some way, or some other form of server access to run. Just having the games does not mean you will forever be able to play them.
Because some of us are old and prefer direction controls to be the way we learned them. On a 'tradiditional' D-Pad, there is a pivot point in the centre, enabling you to press left OR right, up OR down, but never both.

I don't know what the long term effects will be, but what I did, was install windows 10 on the deck, then perform the upgrade to windows 11. When I check my settings it says that windows is correctly licensed.
I'll let you know in the future if it is true or not.
