Then after downloading the SD card setup from SDsetup.com I could not boot Atmosphere,Not sure...

I wanna cry and hope someone can help me figure out this mess please. Last night i managed to update my firmware using daybreak, installed the game i wanted, tested it and all was good. Hacking SWITCH NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

When you say use daybreak to update the firmware, do you mean bring the emummcto date but without having to build emummc from scratch using the sysnand? I opened daybreak and I'm greeted by a install or exit option and selecting install opens a new page asking me to select an update folder and...

Hacking SWITCH NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

I am trying to install a game (Mario wonder) and it fails, I've tried a number of downloads and they all fail. I ran into this problem a while back and blinkinator told me how to fix it and I got the game I wanted installed but its been so long since I've done anything to this switch that I've...

    Lakka failing to boot.

I was not sure as although i knew Lakka was entirely separate from Atmosphere and an O.S in its own right, i didnt know if updating Hekate to the latest would affect Atmosphere compatibility and if all should be updated. I have updated Hekate and Lakka is booting now, thankyou!

Yeah, downloaded from the official servers, both consoles download the updates at the same speed, its when they do the installation that there is a difference. There was an update yesterday so I compared them again, I started the v1 install when the v2 was at 80% and the v1 finished just 5...

Hacking SWITCH NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Does anyone have a V1 and a V2? What are your game update install times like between the two? When fortnite gets an update, both download the files in the same amount of time but my V1 installs the update in under halve the time my V2 takes! Both are installing to SD card and both have the...

    Installing games

Thanks! I am confused about how to get Webman Mod, it has a 'how to build' section which does not tell you how to build, just lists requirements? I knew some consoles were risky when running CFW, my modded switch is one of those that is a big no no but you can dual boot with stock firmware to...

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
Nor clothes 🤮 . Saves on time, soap, water and money having to wash them. :D
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
