There is no universal way (that I know of) to convert one format to the other. I would suggest contacting the code creator themself and hope that they respond. AR3DS is relatively outdated, it only works on specific models running specific firmwares.- storm75x

AR3DS only works on lower firmware versions and specifically original 3ds. For other 3DS, Gateway codes can be converted to NTR for custom firmware or use it raw if you have a Gateway card.- storm75x

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore. -
