here's a "hidden gem" to consider. "Kerplunk, Toss Across, Tip it".
Kerplunk used a fully interactable 3D model with accurate sandbox physics and gravity. which was an incredible innovation for the GBA hardware. if it was a Public Domain tech demo, people would have blown their minds at the...
here is a menu translation for Tetris Advance Japan. hope somebody finds this useful. i can't vouch for the authenticity because i just used a best guess from Google Translate with a phone camera. please feel free to correct me if i made a mistake in this.

i made a huge mistake in this post. DS Icons are are actually 15 colors, plus a transparent layer, making a 16 color palette. whatever color is the last entry in a GIMP color palette will be invisible.
see update here...
after days of trying to get a handle on GIMP image editing program, i have finally figured out how the Nintendo DS color palette works in regards to DS Icons. DS icons are 32 x 32, 15 Colors, with an extra, 16th color relegated to a transparency layer. a good example of this is Okamiden. the...
Nintendo DS games have an internal icon associated with them that displays in file lists on DS flashcarts. The icon or picture is predominantly what people use to instantly recognize individual games in a list before looking at the filename.
in most cases the default icon is "good enough" for a...
i ended up installing YSMenu. what an amazing piece of software. replaces stock UI with a simple no nonsense loader. still need Moonshell for playing music, watching videos, and images. now i can't decide whether to use YSMenu as primary, and load moonshell from it, or keep Moonshell OS as...
it's 2021. the Supercard team has disbanded and their carts are no longer being supported. R4's have caught up and offer the same if not better functionality than the DSTwo. and the DS / 3DS have been cracked wide open allowing a wider rage of alternatives to play DS games and homebrew.
in...
the wiki entry is extremely confusing. what do you rename the border file to?. there is no "internal view" anywhere in Akaio. does it mean file info?. this doesn't explain anything.
here is my equipment.

Cyclo DS
what i want to do is run GBA games from a Slot-1, displaying Different Custom GBA borders, for Each individual game.

A New Custom EZ-Flash 3 / EZFlash III Theme in 2021?
NOTICE: this is a skin for EZ-Flash III ONLY. thats "EZ-Flash 3". the Orange cart. this is NOT for EZ-Flash IV.
Looks like this:
Introduction
for those that don't know, in the early days of GBA Flashcarts, many original EZFlash...
never bought one. i played on a friends. most of my issues mentioned with the Original vs Remakes or FDS versions, was regarding Fixes and Additions, like the Pie Factory Level removed from Donkey Kong, or Metroid/Castlevania not having a save system when the Japanese versions did, or Punch Out...
yeah i forgot Punch Out is unplayable because of a slight 4 second delay. its probably the LCD TVs that are causing the refresh rate and latency problems, but without any Composite, and only HDMI, theres not even any way to plug the damn thing into an old CRT.
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
