Something I noticed: after entering the service menu and "changing" the resolution, my sound and picture settings were reset. I'm sure I didn't change anything else in the service menu.
I am sure they will fix it, the menus are totally wrong in 4k so it's obvious. They just have to add an option to change the resolution in game mode to 1080p (in desktop mode you can change it but there you don't have GameScope then). But I just found a workaround 10 minutes ago even for this...
I have a Steam Deck, and in game mode it always sets the maximum resolution that the hub/cable/TV support. Even if the games are set to the same 800p internal resolution and the Steam Deck upscales to whatever the TV displays, they are 10% slower in 4k than if the TV would be set to 1080p.
There...
Thanks, didn't see that. I changed it down to HD, but it doesn't work. My devices are still recognizing and outputting 4k. Next week I will buy a HDMI 1.3 cable, that was the lowest spec cable that I could find here.

I found it funny cause many many years ago, had a roommate in college that did this same dumbass branding of the school logo, but it didn't look anything like it after it healed. Just looked like a birthmark.
