It's working on my end and there are couple of guys have tried and successfully self host it. Why do we have to do other extra steps if it serves the same outcome? Let the folks decide which tutorial are they going to try.

Try a lower version of node.js. I'm using v14.16 just google node js v14.16. I'm on windows 10 pro 64bit 21H2. Just delete the contents of node_modules then repeat the npm install.

your node module installation did not finish. go to pegascape folder then node_modules, delete the all the files. Run powershell as administrator go to pegascape directory then repeat npm install. Or try this delete the node_modules folder...
