    Weird, I just had the same issue after installing a HWFly chip. I haven't checked the ALJ047 yet. It's just strange. This didn't happen until I fully assembled the console. I'll slowly dissemble and see if I can find what is causing it, and if I can't get a result there, I'll check the chip.

    Without the SD card, it still does the same thing. I used to load the rocket ship style payload, but no longer.

    I've got a problem with an instinct install. I used to have the colour codes, but can't seem to find them on the net. Flashes red twice glowing purple flashes orange ~13 times glowing purple boots into OFW It was working fine for a day, then I dumped keys and restarted, now this. Any clue...

    I've been using the black instinct chips and never had a problem shorting to ground. I can have a look under the microscope this arvo and see if any ground copper is exposed. It may have been fixed in the later boards.

    Where are you guys placing the 2040? I've got mine on top of the memory ICs, but it's a tight fit, even with the PCB cut down 😬 Plus, with the height of a standard waveshare board, it looks like it's going to hit the shield/heatsink anyway.

    Yeah, JLCPCB are the way to go for prototype quantity orders. Been using them for about 7 years now.

    Has anybody tried using different resistor values? I've just run out of 47 Ohm, but have plenty of 27, 20 and 68 Ohm. Maybe I could get away with 68 on the dat0 and CMD line and parallel 68 on the CLK? I'm assuming these resistors are just for impedence matching?

    Doing this purely for myself is probably worth it. Maybe not for the flex, but definitely the PCB. As is stands, I need to wait for at least two weeks for recieve boards from China. Electronics distributers can get me components in three business days.

    Looks like around 0.4 or 0.5ish. 😅 I use wire from a phone speaker for low current connects. Looks to be about 0.1mm.

    I was referring to a community designed/sources picofly. The resistors and USB connection point would also be on that board. There's already a GitHub with PicoFly PCB and flex cables files, ready to send to JLCPCB or similar. I'm considering having the boards made and reflowing my own components.

    Eh. I'd rather have some kind of group buy than support the CPP. There really aren't many components needed to make a Picofly board work. Even in quantities >100, it should be pretty economical.

    Looks a bit easier than the TSMT-8 package. Really, I just wanted to order 20 flex cables, but the shipping times just aren't working. Hand soldering will do in the meantime. I'm happy with anything that isn't on the scale of the DSBGA chip I had to dead bug last year :wacko:

    I get what you're saying. Electronics experience aside, it just seems like a whole lot less fiddling around. QH8KA4 looks nice, with both drains on one side, and gate/source opposite. I'll order some and give them a go next week.
