    If you mean by financially supporting, that's what they damn well should be afraid of doing. Nintendo primarily relied in their case against yuzu on the fact that the emulator was monetized via the Patreon route, at least the way I understand it. Emulators should remain hobby projects.

    It's on Archive.org. Yuzu is on Archive.org. Citra is on Archive.org. Everything ends up in there. And the source code is usually sooner or later taken over by an interested party.     To me, it is primarily incredibly useful and I am grateful for the feature. Not because I wanted to bypass any rules for the period of these first few posts, but rather because it saved me the time of looking for the png file on my computer and manually setting it up over here.
