    on the DSi, in order to use the infrared you need to run TWiLight Menu++ through hiyacfw I don't remember the details or why, iirc the launcher does some initialization stuff currently not replicated in nds-bootstrap dsi.cfw.guide (slash) installing-hiyacfw has instructions on how to do so

    What I really meant was "I don't have an SD slot on my computer" I think it will simply help reduce confusion, I don't see how having both and only using one could possibly screw anything up or even indicates a "weird setup". I don't get such a question very often, but it has been 4-5 times now...

    Personally, I don't have any (convenient) way to copy files to my SD card, since I don't have an SD slot, but I still have it in my wii. I can copy files to it with wiixplorer, so there is a reason to keep it in. There's no harm done in doing this anyway.
