Not all Wii games run full speed with perfect framerate on unmodified hardware. You'll want to rule out vanilla behavior by comparing your performance to that, before you try to troubleshoot your setup. -

Usb is backwards compatible so if you use a usb 3.0 device in a usb 2.0 slot, it 'should' give you maxed out usb 2.0 speeds when used with a device that only supports usb 2.0. Whether that is ok with a wii and usb loader GX or not, idk. Maybe...
