Summary:
As the title says, yet another SFF translation project.
The reason I started this project is because it is my personal project for the purpose of learning ARM assembly language and programming.
I would learn better if I broke something to learn how it worked.

Another reason is that I had a bad childhood with NDS (due to a lack of money).
But I'm no longer interested in playing games. I prefer researching and reverse-engineering a game.

Currently Working On:
[X] Image Extraction/Translating
[O] Assembly Hack
[O] Write a function that reads ASCII
[O] VWF
[ ] Menu
[ ] Prologue
[ ] Patch Release

Legend:
[X] Complete
[O] In Progress
[ ] Not Started Yet

Updates:
July 15, 2023:
All the image text is done.
May 1, 2024: My HDD is dead, all data is gone. So I need restart everything from scratch again.

Q&A:
Q: Why are you translating this game now?
A: As for me personally, the game is quite boring.
But the game engine that Flight-Plan Co., Ltd. uses is quite interesting.

Q: Will you complete translating it?
A: I'll try, but I promise nothing.

Q: If no one is interested, is this project still active?
A: It will still work if I still feel good doing it. And if I get bored, I'll go do something else.

Q: When is the project estimated to be completed?
A: I have a plan. But i don't know when it'll be done.
Like I said, the purpose of this project is learning. Whether or not the SFF is fully translated is secondary.
So I only do it when I feel happy; I don't try to rush it.

Yes, I am. I still work on this project when I have free time.
However, I had a bad news. All my data (including personal work, *.asm, ROM, etc) is gone forever .
The only things that remained were SFF_Directory.xlsx
(where I noted important information about the FS)
and Ghidra (where I learned how ARM9 works and coding VWF.asm).

Now I do it all again from scratch. So don't expect me to finish in a year or two .

Too bad! The ironclad rule for a good programmer (and for any shrewd person) is to make a periodic backup of your work on one or more devices.
You deserve a friendly spanking.
Alas, high hopes nipped in the bud. 😭

i used to go out to the recycling center every couple weeks and look at the crts and other electronics people would drop off. Usually screens were broken or severely scratched from being tossed around. Did find a good one here and there, but never anything like a 1080i widescreen crt.

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.
