Thanks for the report. A background Gen7 Engine process is working, which doesn't let the main one changes a file content. To fix that, please restart your computer then rerun the setup,and let me know how it goes.
Oh, that's very strange. Can you try that last thing, delete manually dat.pkg and Gen7 Launcher.exe located in C:\Gen7-Engine folder, then rerun the setup? This time Windows itself will complain if there's a problem.
OK, I deleted everything but the dkpexists.txt file, then ran setup again, it updated the subcomponents, and now windows sait that the setup program might have not installed correctly and wants to know if I think it's fine or that the "Recommended settings" should be applied.
Ooh, that's not good. I launched it after installing it again, and then it said "First launch. Live installed Prerequisites."
so I hit OK, and now it said "Your Gen7 Install is Corrupted." What do?
Don't worry, you're not annoying at all, actually you're helping me know the issues so I can fix them for everyone which is very appreciable. Can you send me a screen of the C:\Gen7-Engine folder please?
And I think the reason why it said the instal was corrupt was because it put BOTH the revison3intalled.txt
and revision4installed.txt in there, confusing the launcher.
Okay... actually you only have half of the files/folders installed. It is quite strange as you have an issue I thought I fixed in the last update;
I will make a diagnostic system in the setup and check directly in the code what can create these problems. Thanks for the report.
Thanks, and I ran the launcher again: Same "Couldn't access dat.pkg cuz' somethin' else is using it rn lolo" error as before. I do appreciate your hard work, and I will gladly so some testing for you, to help the program work better.
