That's not possible, even with a New 3DS, games struggle to get 60 fps, have many issues like x2 speed, and most games have severe fps drops. Best case scenario, 60 fps, and that still need other codes/optimizations to work properly. Some games like Luigi's Mansion 2: Dark Moon go past the fps cap for the loading times, but that's all.

While you say 2x speed is an issue this is actually exactly what I was looking for when I tried the cheat out. This game has a poorly designed replay system IMO so I'm purposefully trying to see if I can push the boundaries to make it run even faster because how repetitive it is —

— don't think there'll be an issue running the specific game because it's purely 2D and doesn't have much going on unlike things like FE. There is only one line for the cheat but would it be possible to edit just right off that, or is it not that easy and will it require looking elsewhere? For the most part these codes look like binary changes so I'm curious to know how they actually affect game speeds

Sorry to intervene so rudely, but I have something to add.

It's possible to uncap some games which have delta time compensation (don't really know any for the 3DS), and it's also possible to overdrive the LCDs, so you get slightly more FPS on average (you can use this to cheat in MK7).

Anyway; the reason I'm commenting, is that it should be kept in mind, that CTR_SDK is horribly unoptimized, and depending on what the game is doing, unlocking the FPS could actually hurt game performance due to the extremely high IPC overhead of CTR_SDK repeatedly calling synchronization syscalls internally (which have some noticable latency even if it's a no-op).

First of all, thanks to @Sono for that info, that its very interesting, (the MK7 overdrive sound really cool)

@Faith120 The x2 speed its an issue if you want to play 3DS games at higher fps without these side effect, but for the things you posted before, what you want its a speed code.

Generally, that's more easy to find that the fps code (at least for me, im not that good at this, there's many really skillful persons with 3DS cheats in this site)
Still, until now i wasn't able to find the speed code address for most of the games that i post the fps codes.

What is a speed code? You mean the delta time variable calculation? Because you probably won't find that in most games, since most of them are locked to a fix FPS at compile-time, and the compiler can copypaste the magic deltatime value all over the code, making patching impossible. Sometimes you can be lucky, and it's a single value in .data or .rodata.

Unless they did what they did in a game I once RE'd: the programmers approximated 1000/60 all over the place by hand with different amount of 6 spammed at the end of 16.6, ending up with ridiculous roundings of 16.666666... I counted at least 7 different length of 16.6...

I suppose a speed code would work and make sense considering some games have very specific codes for changing speeds of very specific things like battles. At the very least I'm asking around some Discords to see if I can figure out if its possible for my game

@Sono you lost me on the delta time calculation :P my knowledge of this things its next to nothing, so correct me if i'm wrong, but some 3DS games use fixed values for speed, and that's what we'r trying to find on the 60 FPS codes thread for 3DS.

That way we can use the fps codes without having problems with the game/character speed. The issue with fixed values is that low fps = slow movements and high fps = very fast movements. So you have to find the fixed value for the game speed to ''fix'' that.
