It's great but I wouldn't call the picture quality great, it's good upscaling at least. But if you turn it on and off you can really tell how much more sharper and higher clarity the games have with DLSS off as opposed to it turned on.

It still can be worth it for the performance though, and I guess even though the difference in clarity is big, you do get used to it after a while.

@Jiehfeng Even with my 3080, you’d be surprised with the amount of games that can’t run 60fps with 4K ultra. I personally don’t think that the clarity difference is that big unless you are really looking for it.

I have a 3080 as well, I wasn't looking for it, it just was pretty obvious. Similar to how running native resolution vs one step down.

Even on the quality mode? I thought the general consensus was that the quality mode can have more detail and better antialiasing than native.

Yeah even the quality mode, it makes sense also as it's upscaling in the end, it's working with a much smaller image and trying to make it bigger, so it would never look better than native.

Those claims aren't wrong either though, in some rare cases the deep learning can make up details that the devs never intended, and less aliasing is definitely something it does well especially on lower resolutions.
