Wife and I were so freaked out by all the planning and headaches our friends had gone through to organize their weddings, we more or less eloped

And it's a pretty small wedding compared to those my friends have had. Our original plan was to elope but when we told our daughter (gave her up for adoption but it's open so we talk all the time) that we were getting married, she got super excited about it. So we decided to do an actual thing so she could be there.

And yeah, the planning is what we didn't really want to deal with lol. Booking a place to do it, figuring out food and reception stuff and the hardest thing; the guestlist. The one downside to having a small ceremony is that it makes it a lot harder to decide who to invite and not. I have a large family and I know quite a few are pretty salty they didn't get an invite.
