The pros to this are that it will have plenty of empty space inside for me to add LEDs and a battery pak, to make the 4 usine samples on top glow. I'm going to use real distilled water and food coloring in sealed see-through paint containers for that, and have them lit with yellow LEDs from underneath.

I'll have a power switch to disable the lights and a way to remove the battery pak when being stored.

The cons to this will be the grueling design times, the brutally slow print times, and having to source silver "mirror-finish" spray paint and sourcing the Grizzco stickers at the proper sizes.

I suppose I could try to use silver filament. The tubing seems easy enough... But also part of the difficulty is going to be designing the different parts to fit together, by printing it in sections, and using pegs with glue to join them.

Question. Which parts are you going to print?

@Veho Likely all of it, minus the tubing and the piss containers on top that I already have. I can source the tubing on Amazon or whatever.

There's a bunch of stuff you could source somewhere else. That back end is literally a jar, you could get a plastic jar for much less money and hassle than printing it all out.

I'll admit it's easier to print it out but the filament cost makes me wince.

Filament is like $20 per roll, and I see this costing about maybe $40 between two colors, which I'm okay with. Beats paying someone $300+ to make one for me. I do all the work for a fraction of the cost, and have fun doing it. :3

I guess. I'm a bit out of the loop with (filament) 3D printing, in my mind it's still a lot of fiddling around with slicing and settings and test prints that end up in spaghetti disasters until you get a good result, and then there's a ton of post-processing to sand/melt down the lines... It's not a "set it and forget it" technology in my head.

And also I've been watching a ton of crafting videos and people making cosplay props and display pieces out of junk so that's the approach that springs to mind first.
