😲 The english term is ambiguous. Do you mean the old tool for taking photos or for shooting movies? The former I have owned in the past, the latter never. As you well know today the smartphone is convenient: it does everything ............... except coffee.🤣

Still picture camera, not movie.
:creep: I have to confess that an analog IMAX movie camera would be awesome :creep:

In my long lost youth I enjoyed taking photos – before digital cameras became widespread (and actually usable instead of being an expensive toy for big show offs).
Due to moving I've reactivated my analog camera (evidential value of digital photos goes towards zero). Quite a few films left (expired about 2005 but stored in the fridge – perfectly working)

Imagine that I still remember when, in elementary school, I built a cardboard cube camera, similar to those in western movies: to my amazement it worked perfectly. 😋

🤦‍♀️
A phone is not a coffee maker – and a coffee maker is not a phone (you will notice the difference when holding against the ear and hot liquid flows inside).

*Sigh* It doesn't feel like 20+ years ago, but I took the newly acquired (old) digital camera with me on my long walks the last few days. Maybe it will be a little more like in the past when going to the forest where I used to live next to.

"I built a cardboard cube camera,"
Awesome! And then make a big flash with magnesium powder.

I haven't the foggiest idea. I don't even know what it is. I just have that vague memory, alas.

So you took a walk in the woods taking pictures? Well, I with my little dog also often walk in the woods. Why don't you post some pictures?

Privacy problems. Not everything is just a few trees. Often the whole landscape becomes visible when reaching the top of the hills. It would be possible to pinpoint my location to a certain degree (indirectly, no GPS data in EXIF).

I'll see what can be done.

For now just macro of a rose. In bright sunlight the Mavica works alright – at least for over 20 year old digital camera limited to 1600x1200

Looking good, but it is delusive. There are no trees further to the right side – and not many to the left.
Not too far from this point are high tenement houses with multiple apartments on each floor.
Reaching this point requires half an hour of jogging mostly right next to streets.

This sucks so much. Only with the bicycle or the bus it is possible to reach actual nature in sensible amount of time.

Sorry. I, who live daily immersed in nature, could not live away from it. 😑

Or rather, I could live there if forced, but dying inwardly little by little. 😒
