I downloaded it on my PC, and I can't install Vencord on there. There's an option to use Tampermonkey, but I already had problems using it in conjunction with Firefox
Is this one that you know a bunch of people use however? I've heard of the Extended Kernel for Windows Vista but that's about it. And the last time I've done a project created by users of the OS (Aka Rectify11) it took me two months for me to finally get a response for help that I needed assistance with.
I don't know if it's just me, but it seems like communities like this are having less and less people work within tbe space and there's s good amount of people who just use the newer OSses without problem. Right now my PC is undergoing 166 missing updates installed for the system and I'm hoping that there's no errors that happen to any of them unlike Windows 10 and 11.
This is for my other PC. My main PC is an MSI Pulse Gl66 with Windows 11 installed. I'm keeping it the way that it is becsuse I've already ruined it trying to run Linux on there. This is for my much older Toshiba Satellite p500.
I'll continue with the 166 updates and I'll see what I can do for now. The fork of Firefox is a good suggestion though but I can't get Chrome extensions for some reason. Maybe this is ehu I had trouble installing the NET framework and everything.
Initially even if you didn't have a tablet computer everything was geared towards tablets and it had this crap called metro that ruined the start menu etc
But all of that was very easily tweaked with classic shell and like programs - but it was different (and admittedly bad) and a lot of people hated it
I can understand about it being designed like a tablet in my mind but I have to admit, Metro UI wasn't that bad and I absolutely loved it as a kid. I wished that they had a version of Windows 8 during its time period where one was for Tablets and Phones and the other was for PC.
But then again, just like everyone giving up on the 3ds and WiiU, not a lot of people have heard about this classic shell. (speaking of the former, I would like to know how many people know and use Pretendo for the online servers lol)
If it's the one with the blue shell in it, it's still paid. And I can't find any way to get it through other means. But then again, I'm fine with what I have. It's best for me to figure it out the hard way because this place is against the discussion of finding things through other means
Just jumping in on the Windows 8 discussion because *I have opinions* lmao. I quite liked 8/8.1. A lot of the complaints IMO were the trade of a "start menu" for a "start screen", and in 8, it would automatically boot to that "start screen" (I think 8.1 booted straight to desktop?)
@The Real Jdbye, I thought about that and I have blank DVD's and Blurays but honestly after like 90 songs I just listen to it a couple of hundred times toss it out and burn something else or have like 2-3 CD's. Florida here the heat in the car tends to ruin the CD's after like a few months even commercial pressed ones don't last too long.
