Yeah you don't want to make that mistake! If you swapped yours with another one and that unit came with 5.5.0FW also you would be losing out and that WiiU you swapped might also be in worse condition than your original one. I would 110% want to know it was on 5.3.2 Firmware or below before I took you unit out the shop, no doubt m8!!!.
